Accelex, a SaaS platform redefining alternative investment data, today announced two key additions to its global sales team. Simon Tang has joined the company as its new Director of Business Development in North America and Marco Loiacono as the new Director of EMEA Sales, based in London. Each will be responsible for expanding and servicing Accelex’s growing client base of asset owners, asset servicers, fund of funds, secondaries investors and advisors in their respective regions.

Prior to joining Accelex, Simon spent nearly a decade as a director at CEPRES, a private markets data and analytics firm, where he opened the firm’s first office in the APAC region and spearheaded new client acquisition and business development. He brings over 15 years of private equity investment experience, covering the markets of Europe, US and Asia. Previously at Deutsche Bank, he was responsible for the sourcing and due diligence of hundreds of private equity funds for institutional and private clients. Before private equity, he was an officer with the United States Navy. Simon earned his Master of Science degree in Computational Science and Engineering from the Technical University of Munich, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia.

Marco brings over 10 years of experience in sales roles in financial technology markets, covering both private markets software and data businesses. He spent three years at S&P Global working in sales functions within their Capital IQ franchise. He then moved to iLEVEL as their fourth hire in EMEA, where he helped expand the EMEA market across GPs and LPs working as Senior Sales Engineer first and Sales Director later. He was with the iLEVEL business through the acquisitions by both Ipreo in 2015 and IHS Markit in 2018. Marco completed his Master’s Degree in Economics and Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management at Bari University in Italy.
